Bavaria 40 from 2002, UK registered in 2003 and sailed exclusively in the Adriatic since its launch. It is now Croatian registered with VAT paid, owned by a syndicate of three people. The vessel has always been in private ownership and use, never chartered and never raced.Powered by Volvo 55 HP diesel engine (overhauled 2017) with sail drive.
The boat has been professionally maintained throughout its life in Split and at appropriate times has undergone major refitting of important items including:
- New Main & Genoa sails 2017
- Engine refurbishment 2017
- The dinghy and outboard from 2018
- New standing rigging 2023
- The boat’s house batteries and engine battery were replaced 2025
